Plan Your Visit

The home to five National Historic Landmarks and Official Veteran Memorials on both state and national levels, Battleship Cove has been providing the preservation of both the military heritage of the New England region and that of the United States since 1965.

Hours and Operations

Battleship Cove is open Friday through Sunday, 9am-4pm. Tickets may be purchased online or at the museum. 


The Fall River Maritime Museum will be closed for the season starting September 12, 2022 and will reopen in April 2023.

Please Note:

  • Tickets are valid for two consecutive days at Battleship Cove.

  • The last tickets available at the museum gift shop for purchase on a given day are at 2:30pm

  • We are closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day

  • Visitors to the Museum may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded. By attending, you grant the Museum permission to use photographs and/or audiovisual recordings in which you appear for archival, documentary, publicity, advertising, or other purposes.

  • Due to restoration initiatives, the engineering spaces on Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. are closed until further notice.

  • Due to wind damage, our PT-796 and the Quonset Hut building will be closed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Free Admission on a child’s Birthday

Children between the ages of 4-12 are free on their birthday with a original copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport. No reservations required.

Special Offering: Kilroy Pass

Battleship Cove in Fall River, MA and the US Naval Shipbuilding Museum in Quincy, MA are proud to announce this partnership with the Kilroy Pass. Visitors can now see "The Witch" and BIG MAMIE with this two day discounted ticket that is good for one day at each museum. 

***The USS Salem is closed for the season. The Kilroy pass will no longer be available until the re-opening of the USS Salem next season.

Museums for All & Card to Culture Program

We are proud to participate in both the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, The Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by broadening accessibility to cultural programming. 

We also participate in the Museums for All program, a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), administered by the Association of Children's Museums (ACM), to encourage people of  all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits. The program supports those receiving food assistance (SNAP).   

EBT cardholders can purchase $3 tickets per person for up to 2 adults and 3 children.

To redeem please bring in your EBT card and ID to the visitors center on the day of your visit to purchase your tickets.
